I have entered the Mrs. International pageant because of my passion for Asthma Awareness and Education. As a speaker, educator, and advocate for children with Asthma, the title of Mrs. International would provide me an even greater presence to continue my work, reach out to more people, help more children breathe easier, and change more lives.
Another mission of the International pageant system is to support and educate the public about the Go Red For Women movement of the American Heart Association. Go Red For Women educates women about their #1 killer, heart disease. With a background as a Registered Nurse having worked in a Medical/Coronary Intensive Care unit, I understand the importance of heart health and education for women. Lives can be saved through education.
I am proud to represent Nebraska at the Mrs. International pageant on July 16th and 17th 2010 in Chicago, Illinios. For more information about the Mrs. International pageants, please visit www.MrsInternational.com/pageant.
